So, I have sort of been neglecting my blog lately. Not on purpose. Just lots of stuff going on around here. I went back to work last week. (If you don't know, I teach math at our local college. Only a few hours a week. At night. It's my quiet time, and Daddy's bedtime and bath night. :D) I've been on the search for a new car, the kid's fall activities have begun, and I got a new gig. So what am I doing? Well thanks for asking. I am now the social media admin for ODIZ Baby Supply.
I am THRILLED to be a part of this awesome company that is owned and run by a fabulous mama, who only stocks brands that she trusts and would use with her own little ones. When I spoke with Christine, the owner, about reviewing her site on my blog, one thing turned to another, and now I am not only keeping up with her Facebook and Twitter accounts, but I'm also writing for the ODIZ "Let's Talk Baby Stuff" Blog. It is such a fantastic job for me. It takes a handful of my favorite things and puts them all together. I get to blog, FB, & Tweet about baby products that I love and use with P and Bean. Amaze-Balls!
So come on over to the ODIZ Facebook page and like us. As soon as ODIZ hits 150 fans, we will do a giveaway and/or a promo code. Leave us a comment and let us know what you'd like to see us do to celebrate!

Switching Over the Closets
For those of you who live in the few magical places on earth, where the temperature is always a gorgeous 75, and it never rains or snows...
I envy you.
I want to live there.
I want to stop having to switch out my closet, my kids closets, my bedding, my kids bedding, my shoes, my kids shoes, etc., every 4 months or so.
I really wouldn't care so much if I didn't have to store 4 seasons worth of clothes, shoes, and accessories. I mean, where are you supposed to put it all?!?
Anyway, at least once a year, I come across an outfit that I bought for one of my kids, that got shoved into the back of a closet or a draw, and still has the tags on it, when they have already outgrown it. That drives me CRAZY! Especially with Bean...she is still in the stage where her clothing size changes as often as the seasons and her clothes are WAY TOO CUTE to not be worn. Today when I was looking through my One Step Ahead catalogue, I saw these for probably the hundredth time...

Every time I see these size dividers, I think, hmm, I could really use these. But honestly, I'm cheap frugal. These are only $8, but shipping is just as much, and that's another one of those things that drive me nuts. (I sound like such a complainer...I try not to be! :/)
So what did I do? I did what I always do. Popped it into google and see if they would come up somewhere else for a better price. And guess what??? They did!!! Best of all, they showed up on Amazon! With FREE shipping! And they were only $4.99! And they came in all different colors, including PINK! (I'd use two exclamation points if they came in purple ;) )

I am soooo EXCITED!!! Thanks to Amazon Moms and free Prime shipping, I should have these guys in my hands by the middle of next week! I can't wait to organize Bean's closet and share the pics with you! :) Woo hoo!!!
If you don't know what it means to be an Amazon Mom, you HAVE to go check out my post here. It is a FAB-u-lous thing, and it's free!
Oh, and speaking of free, don't forget to enter my giveaway from yesterday's post!

Yay for Mary Kay and another GIVEAWAY! (GiveawayS!)
Recently, I was reintroduced to Mary Kay. This is not the Mary Kay that I remember stealing from my mother's Caboodle. (If you know what I am talking about, you are probably laughing...if not, you are probably too young! And yes, they still make Caboodles for those of you that are tempted right now. I am!) Annnnyyyway, I was reintroduced to Mary Kay at P's swim lessons, from his little buddy's Mommy, and let me tell you people...this is NOT your gramma's makeup. No more fuchsia lipstick and neon blue eye shadow! Nope - this is a much more sophisticated line of not only makeup, but skin care too.
So, P's little buddy's Mommy (Melissa) was kind of enough to invite me over for a play date and a makeover! (What a great combo! Kids play, moms relax. LOVE it!) The first thing that she let me try was the Time Wise Miracle set. I know that I am not THAT old, but I am truly getting to a point where I worry about the lines appearing on my face, and I want to do anything I can to keep them at bay. This set does it all! And, because I loved it so much, Melissa offered me a month's supply to take home with me! (Sweeeet!)
But wait, it gets better. We are chatting and I tell her that I have a blog, and guess what she does?! She offers me not one,but TWO more sets to giveaway to my wonderful followers. Wooohooo!
So check it out...if you win, you get a months supply of each of the following (which by the way, is a $44 value!)
TimeWise 3-In-1 Cleanser. This is such a fantastic face wash. It not only exfoliates, but it seriously makes your face feel fresh. I am crazy about it! You use it day and night, which also makes life a little simpler!
TimeWise Age Fighting Moisturizer. This lotion feels fantastic going on. It is smooth, but not oily. It is filled with antioxidants, and it helps reduce fine lines. You will see a difference in just a few weeks. I'm so excited to share my before and after pictures with you.
TimeWise Day Solution with Sunscreen SPF 25. What is the number one rule of skin care?? SUNSCREEN, people! And with SPF 25, you can be sure this bad boy is protecting that precious face ;) It also has a calming peptide to help relax expression lines. (A wonderful thing for those of us that spend our days making silly faces at little people :) )
TimeWise Night Solution. This might be my favorite part of the line. It is just such a cool idea! See those pretty little beads floating in the solution. Those are little capsules filled with vitamins, antioxidants, and collagen enhancing peptides. All that goodness stays encapsulated until you pump it out onto our hand to spread on your face, giving you the maximum exposure to these line and wrinkle fighting goodies.

So, there you have it. A super simple, extremely gentle, age fighting collection that WILL give you results...and it can all be yours! Just follow these simple steps...
Melissa has also offered the first 15 people, who don't already have a beauty consultant, and who place an order through her website, a free Mineral Eye Shadow. MK's mineral makeup is so awesome. It lasts all day but comes right off with a little eye makeup remover. (I use MK's eye makeup remover too...just a little on a cotton ball and it comes right off...and it's oil free.)

EcoMom Gift Certificate Giveaway!
That's right! I'm giving away a $35 gift certificate to EcoMom to one lucky reader so that they can try the new line of Bon Ami cleaning products that I was lucky enough to test this week!
Bon Ami products feature simple and natural ingredients. They are free of chlorine and phosphates, and instead use cleaning agents derived from corn, coconut and palm, along with feldspar and baking soda to effectively clean your house without any harsh chemicals.
In addition to having an ingredient list that I can read, and that includes only things I've heard of, Bon Ami products work!

I was able to test the All-Purpose Cleaner in a spray bottle, the Powder Cleanser, the Liquid Cleanser, and the Dish Soap. With the exception of the Powder Cleanser, I tested the Tangerine Thyme scent. Instead of using artificial ingredients to add the fragrance to these products, Bon Ami uses natural essential oils to give their cleansers a light, fresh scent. And, as a bonus, these citrus oils provide a natural grease cutting boost! I love that when I wipe down the baby's high chair, or our kitchen counters, I don't feel like my kids will be eating chemicals along with their meals. Especially because Bean's highchair requires frequent cleanings, and most of her food is eaten directly from the tray after she dumps her plate. :/
The powder cleaner made my sink sparkle, and I didn't feel bad about the ingredients being in a place where I put my family's dishes and utensils, and where Bean sometimes gets a bath ;) It even cleaned the inside of the drain where it sometimes gets a little rusty when Ineglect forget to do the dishes at night.
A lot of companies claim to be "green" or "natural" but Bon Ami really walks the walk. Not only are the ingredients actually ALL natural, but their packaging is made from 100% post-consumer recycled PET plastic. Even their labels are and adhesive are the most compatible with the recycle stream. Sometimes their bottles are a little foggy but this is only because they do not add anything to the recycled plastic.
So, why buy these products from EcoMom? Well, for one thing the price can't be beat! The All-Purpose Cleaner comes in a 25 fl. oz. container for only $3.29. Not only is this less expensive that the popular brand I have under my sink from the grocery store, but it has more cleaner! Yup, the chemical filled spray in my kitchen is only 22 fl. oz. And trust me folks, it was at least $1.00 more.
In addition, everything that is offered from EcoMom has been evaluated so that you are only getting the safest and healthiest products for your family. Eco mom has a discriminating team of doctors, scientists, moms, dads, babies, and kids who work with them as their research partners. They also enlist the help of organizations such as Healthy Child Healthy World, and Environmental Working Group to be sure that you are getting only the best.
EcoMom does not just sell cleaning products. They sell everything from strollers and highchairs, to diapers and skin care. Plus they have a pretty sweet new website.
So, now what you've all been waiting for. Here's how to enter...
